Review is for to go food. Located in the Mitsuwa shopping center on Culver and Walnut.
Salt and pepper fish filet is so bomb. It's fried to perfection. Yes it's greasy and yes you can't tell if it's MSG or sugar coating the perfectly greasy fried batter. But I don't care because I'm a true Asian and I love MSG.
Yang Chow Fried Rice. Ask for it fried with less oil so you don't feel as bad eating it with the salt and pepper fish. You're welcome. -

This is a hidden gem. Walk in and it's like you've been teleported back to the early 90's. I definitely get some old school chinese restaurant vibes in here.
The cuisine is Chinese-Vietnamese which reminds me of one of my favorite restaurants in Westminster: Seafood Cove.
So far, I've tried a few dishes from here and they've won me over.
Kung Pao Chicken: perfectly cooked, crispy, juicy bits of chicken, plenty of peanuts and some of the fried chili was even spicy.
House Special Chicken: fried crispy pieces of chicken tossed lightly in their house sauce and black pepper.
House Special Chow Fun: flat white rice noodles in the house gravy. Good portion size and defiantly one of my favorites.
Beef Satay Chow Fun: flat white rice noodles cooked with scrambled eggs and covered in a chili oil satay sauce.
I've yet to try the lobster so I'm hoping it'll be as good as the rest of the items I've tried. -

First time getting food to go. Everything was packed well with thought - they even cut out the corners of the lid as vent holes for the chicken! The food was still hot and fresh when we ate at home.
Fish fillet with greens - realllyyy good. my fav dish
House chicken - huge portions! T's fav dish
Braised tofu with mushrooms - This wasn't what I expected it to be. I know braised tofu as the really soft, silky tofu on the inside. This was more like fried tofu or bean curd? A little disappointed it wasn't what I thought but it was still good. The veggies it came with were carrots, snow peas, bamboo, and obv mushrooms.
I seems pretty tough for most chinese restaurants to get decent reviews (more than 3 stars), but I can see why this place is rated so highly! -

It's unfortunate that I have learned that this place will be closed down soon :( it was my first time, but my friend has been going there for years. We had the lunch special of whole fried fish with sweet and sour sauce and house special fried chicken. Rice and soup was included.
The fish was super crispy eventhough it was basked in sauce. I literally ate the bones and the whole head. 5/5
The chicken was crispy and super flavorful. 5/5
Service was great. I hope to come back here another time before they close down. -

If you're craving some greasy, fried noodles, then this place has decent pan fried seafood noodles. The noodles are crispy and the sauce is decent. I like the sauce better at Mi La Cay in Goldenwest but this is very good for a place in Irvine. This place doesn't drench your crispy noodles so it remains crispy throughout the meals. They're pretty quick to make as well. The service is pretty good for a Chinese restaurant. They actually refilled my water without me asking at all. Overall, I would definitely come back here if I crave pan fried crispy seafood noodles.
